​Problem

The team developing the Scorpion system needed a test rig to hold the motor PCBs.

​

Approach

• Examined the system's CAD assembly to determine PCB, motor, and connector placement

• Modeled the motor support pieces after the chassis

• Designed supplementary support brackets for lighter PCBs

• Machined the baseboard on a manual mill

​

Results

I supplied three test rigs to the Scorpion build team. The teams used these rigs throughout the build process.
